CIMA, AICPA report

Published November 23, 2012

KARACHI, Nov 23: As shortage of suitable talent stifles global growth plans, a new report highlights how finance professionals have never had a better opportunity to progress their careers and make a real mark on their organisations.

The report ‘The fast track to leadership — the challenges, opportunities and action plan’ was released by the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) and American Institute of CPAs (AICPA) and sponsored by recruitment experts Hays, a press release said.

The report concludes that as organisations operate in an increasingly challenging climate, a board’s expectations of the finance function are becoming far more complex. This report draws upon the personal experiences of leading CFOs and finance directors to illustrate how management accountants can maximise these opportunities.
