KARACHI: Despite a red-alert issued for the city, incidents of violence claimed two lives and injured three others on Tuesday, whereas security personnel conducted raids in different areas of the city arresting 25 suspects, DawnNews reported.

Two people were shot to death near ICI bridgein Karachi's Lyari area. The victims could not be identified and appeared to have been shot after being kidnapped, according to police sources.

Incidents of firing injured three people in Manghopir, Bahadurabad and Jauhar Mor area of Karachi.

Ranger, police and CID personnel conducted raids in different parts of the city and arrested 25 suspects including alleged members of a banned outfit and other wanted criminals.

Security sources claimed to have recovered drugs and illegal weapons from the suspects.
