KARACHI, Nov 19: Despite a splendid knock of 79 from Mohammad Junaid, Marine Group lost to Premier System by 48 runs in their Group ‘A’ fixture of the New AJ Sports Multinational Champions League T20 cricket tournament at the Young Fighters Cricket Ground here the other day.

Batting first after winning the toss, Premier System scored freely to pile up 202-7 in their stipulated 20 overs. Asim Amin was the major run-getter with 59 (six boundaries), while Farjam Ali hit three fours in making 38.

Off-spinner Shahrukh Khan captured three wickets for 20.

Marine Group, in reply, were curtailed to 154-6 despite Junaid’s brilliant 40-ball innings which contained eight boundaries and a brace of sixes.

Mohammad Nisar and Rizwan Ali grabbed two wickets each for the winning side.
