Spider: Upgrading your operating system is not essential, unless you would like it to support some software or application that is not backwards compatible with the old operating system.

Comment: I am using window 7 since long but I am unable to install office 2007.  sometime I found error 1704 and some time not. I have no solution. when I reinstalled window 7 few days office 2007 work and than I got same problem...Is there any solution?

Spider: Windows 7 works seamlessly with Office 2007 if installed correctly. Check if your operating system is 32 or 64 bit and that your copy of office matches the architecture. Otherwise get a new copy of Office.
