Two judges of the Lahore High Court started hearing the bail application of businessman Jamil Ahmed, accused of financing and facilitating the 2008 Mumbai attacks on Monday.

After hearing his counsel, the court closed the day's proceedings by issuing a notice to the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA).

Justice Mazahir Ali Akbar Naqvi and Justice Ali Baqir Najafi of the Rawalpindi bench of LHC said the date for next hearing would be fixed by the registrar office.

Ahmed has spent more than three years in Adiala Jail, facing the charges that he provided Rs2.1 million and a Thuraya satellite phone to Ajmal Amir Kasab, the sole attacker captured alive after the November 26 attacks that killed 166 persons.
