QUETTA, Nov 10: Three people were gunned down and three others injured in a fresh sectarian attack here on Saturday.

“Six persons from the Shia Hazara community were passing from the Jinnah Road in a taxicab when they were targeted by two gunmen waiting for them at a traffic signal,” a police official, Anwar Ali, said.

“Two persons were killed at the spot while one succumbed to his injuries in hospital.

“The gunmen fled on a motorcycle,” he said.—AFP

Amanullah Kasi adds: Activists of the Hazara Democratic Party held demonstrations at Bacha Khan Chowk, Alamdar Road and Liaquat Bazaar to condemn the target killings of members of the community.

The protesters burnt tyres and chanted slogans against the government and police.
