Pakistani filmmaker Sharmeen Obaid Chinoy and acid-burn survivor Zakia who featured in Chinoy’s Oscar-winning documentary, Saving Face, will jointly receive the Glamour Women of the Year award in New York on Nov 12.
It is a testimony to the bravery and determination of both women, more so of Zakia who withstood the test of time and did not succumb to social pressures. Congratulations to these two Pakistani women.
