Two men shot dead

KASUR, Jan 5: Two persons were shot dead on Sunday by unidentified assailants in different incidents in the district.

Muhammad Abbas was going to his house at Pattoki when three armed men stopped him near Bhai Kot village and shot him to death.

In Chhanga Manga, armed men shot dead Shabbir Ahmed and escaped from the scene by firing in the air. The motive behind the incidents could not be known.

SNATCHED: Two robbers on Sunday snatched a motorcycle and injured a man on resistance in different robbery incidents.

Muhammad Saleem was going to Kasur from Sheikhan village by his motorcycle (3917-LRB). Near Basti Lal Shah, three gunmen intercepted him, snatched his motorcycle and escaped.

In Nizampura village, an armed dacoit, Muhammad Hussain, barged into the house of Mukhtar Fauji and held the inmates hostage at pistol point. The dacoit fired at Fauji when he tried to resist.

He sustained bullet wounds and was admitted to the local DHQ Hospital in critical condition. Neighbours overpowered the dacoit and handed him over to police who are investigating the matter.

RAPED: A vagabond raped a housewife on Sunday in Noorpur Jattan village.

Murtaza busted into the house of ‘S’ and raped her at pistol point and fled.
