THATTA Oct 9: Intensified security measures have been adopted along the Thatta-Badin coastal belt to have a vigil on 13 oil exploration and producing fields as well as the scattered settlements apprehending a backlash during the on going joint US-British air strikes in Afghanistan.

This has been decided at a meeting of the district administration and heads of law enforcement agencies, chaired by Brigadier Syed Ali Mohsin here in the Badin Cantonment.

The meeting was attended by DCO Mohsin Qureshi, SSP Zahid Naveed and others.

The meeting decided to deploy more police force on oil fields in the coastal belt in Gadhi, Ahmed Rajo, and Teghani.

Besides, two more posts of law enforcement agencies were suggested.
