LAHORE, Nov 4: The Punjab government is mulling over withdrawing posts of senior administrators in all districts after considering them useless and a burden on the provincial kitty.

The government has recently abolished the posts of DO (Human Resource Management) in all districts on the same pretext, reassigning its function to the post of DO (Coordination).

Officials told Dawn on Sunday that the post of DO (HRM) was a burden because no-one was willing to work against them. At the time of the abolition 26 seats were lying vacant. The same was the case with the posts of senior administrators.
