BEIJING, Nov 2: Pakistan and China have successfully completed the 5th round of strategic dialogue here on Friday.
Foreign Secretary Jalil Abbas Jilani represented Pakistan while Vice Foreign Minister Fu Ying China.
Fu Ying said the latest round of the strategic dialogue would further strengthen the “all-weather Pakistan-China partnership”. She said the complex international environment necessitated deeper cooperation between the two countries.
Foreign Secretary Jilani said the dialogue was the most important interaction between the two countries. He said maintaining strong strategic cooperation with China was the cornerstone of Pakistan’s foreign policy.
Ms Fu said China and Pakistan shared same concerns on a host of regional and global issues ranging from the question of UN Security Council reforms to the crisis in the Middle East. Both countries were united in their desire to see peace and stability restored to Afghanistan, she added. —APP
