THE TV screen was brimming with news of Pakistan breaking eight world records and entering into the Guinness Book of World Records.

Cricket players of International World XI were leaving for their home countries after the end of tournament in Karachi and certifying at the airport that Pakistan was quite a safe place to come.

On the other hand, same TV channels were showing footages of Lahore airport where ‘jiyalas’ went berserk on the arrival of Manzoor Wattoo and ransacked the arrival lounge.

Businessmen of Karachi were busy announcing shutter down strike due to deteriorating law and order situation in Sindh and were demanding of the Sindh government to take strict action against extortion mafia.

Same TV channel was also telecasting news of attack on police van in Manghopir area in Karachi and the death of one policeman on duty.

All this was happening at the same time in Karachi and Lahore.

Is Pakistan still safe for playing cricket and making world records for Guinness Book of World Records?
