LAHORE, Oct 31: Usman Haye and Asif Tiwana helped Learning Alliance, also aided by a half-goal handicap, overcome Hataff 5½-4 in the Happy Cow Cheese Polo Cup here on Wednesday.

In the first chukker, Learning Alliance could only maintain their handicap as Usman’s goal was cancelled out by Hassan Ali Farrukh.

It was the same story in the second as Hayat Mehmood’s goal was replied to by Hataff’s Kashif Jamal.

The third chukker also followed a similar pattern with Usman second goal being followed by Hasan completing his brace.

Hasan put Hataff ahead for the first time in the fourth chukker but back-to-back goals by Asif sealed victory for Learning Alliance.

In the other games, Sameer Habib Oberoi’s hat-trick helped Diamond Paints to a convincing 4-1½ victory over GTO, who had a half-goal handicap, while Magic River defeated Valvoline Motor Oil 5-2½.
