PESHAWAR, Oct 31: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chamber of Commerce and Industry has demanded compensation for the losses caused to the business community on Yaum-i-Ishq-i-Rasool (PBUH) at the hands of violent protesters.
The chamber president, Dr Mohammad Yousuf, on Wednesday handed over a list to Peshawar DCO Javaid Khan Marwat during a meeting. The list pertains to the details about the losses caused to the chamber building, Allied Bank, Gulab Banaspati office, Family Park, Haleem Ghar and Shama Cinema and other properties.
Dr Yousuf said that the details had been collected from the business community. He expressed the hope that the provincial government would extend all possible support and compensate the affected people. He also appreciated the efforts made by the DCO for the welfare of the business community. — Bureau Report
