SANGHAR: Maroo Bheel, who has been blamed for having killed his 15-day-old baby and disfigured his wife Lali Bheel, was arrested in Bhit Shah and produced before the media on Tuesday.

Speaking at a press conference, Sanghar DSP Sharif Shar said that acting on a tip off, the Mangli police conducted a raid in Bhit Shah and arrested him.

The officer said that he would be produced in the court of law on Wednesday.

On that occasion, Maroo Bheel told reporters that his wife Lali had illicit relations. “I asked her to mend her ways but in vain, so I made her an example for her disloyalty by cutting the parts of her nose, lips, ears and chest,” he said.

However, he denied the charge of killing their 15-day-old son.
