THE Eidul Azha cattle market in Islamabad is attracting potential animal buyers. Sadly, poor arrangements not only mar the beauty of the market but also cause hurdles for buyers.

As usual, an appropriate parking space is missing. Vehicles parked on the roadside jeopardise all activities and affect pedestrians badly.

Truck loaded with animals and fodder hamper smooth the flow of traffic.

In order to keep the traffic moving, access to the market should have been given from some alternative side.

Unfortunately, patients and their attendants visiting two large and busy hospitals situated on the same road bear the brunt of traffic jams.

Taxi drivers refuse to go to that area which is irksome.

The  Capital Development Authority and the Islamabad traffic police should look at this side of the picture and chalk out a plan to ensure smooth traffic flow as long queues of vehicles are also a security threat.
