SUKKUR, Oct 24: A young milk-seller was killed in Jacobabad as a result of a feud between the Sawand and Sabzoi communities on Wednesday.

Dhani Bux, son of Qabil Sawand, brought milk from his native village to the Jacobabad general bus stand. Some armed persons hiding inside the bus stand opened fire on him, leaving him seriously wounded, and fled.

He was shifted to the Civil Hospital Jacobabad where he succumbed to bullet wounds. After a post-mortem examination, the body was handed over to his relatives who took it to Pathan Wah area of Shikarpur.

Brother of Dhani Bux, Nadir Ali Sawand, told reporters that his family had left Kandhkot taluka because of the feud between the Sawand and Sabzoi communities and had become settled in Pathan Wah area of Shikarpur. He said that after shifting, they were selling milk to earn a livelihood for the family, but armed persons of the rival community had killed his brother.
