KARACHI: Member of the Sindh Assembly belonging to the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Kulsoom Akhter Chandio on Friday sustained bullet injuries in a firing incident in Clifton neighbourhood of Karachi.

Later, the MPA was shifted to a Civil Hospital, where her condition is out of danger, Information Secretary PPP Karachi Division Latif Mughal told APP.

He told that MPA Chandio, who belonged to district Dadu, received a bullet in her leg but her condition is stable now.

According to rescue sources, the incident took place when unknown motorcycle riders opened fire on the car of the MPA at Punjab Chowrangi, Clifton.

Condemning the incident, senior provincial minister Pir Mazharul Haq declared the people, who have been threatening the PPP lately, responsible for injuring Chandio.

Meanwhile, incidents of firing and targeted killings continued in the metropolis killing 11 more people on Friday.
