KARACHI, Jan 2: Politicians and a former judge of the superior court on Thursday criticized the registration of Pakistanis in the United States and called upon the Muslim countries to strengthen their economies to get rid of US domination.

Speaking at “Pasban Tele Talk”, held by a local NGO, Pasban, on the new American law for registration of foreigners, the former chief justice of Pakistan’s apex court, Syed Sajjad Ali Shah, said the Muslims all over the world were suffering because of their ruler, who just wanted to appease America.

He said the new act had exposed the real face of ‘democratic’ America.

Naib Amir, Jamaat-i-Islami (JI) Prof Ghafoor Ahmed, said Pakistan was facing the consequences of becoming US ally.

Tehrik-e-Insaf (TI) General Secretary Miraj Mohammad Khan said Pakistanis were being targeted with the law and demanded of the government to take this matter seriously.

Vice-president, Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz), Eijaz Shafi, said the Prime Minister, Mir Zafarullah Khan Jamali, should record protest with United States government over this issue.

Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal Sindh Vice-President Allama Hasan Turabi and Pasban Sindh President Rafiq Khaskehli also spoke on the occasion.—PPI
