KARACHI: PSCs to be activated

KARACHI, Jan 2: Sindh Chief Secretary K.B Rind on Thursday directed the provincial local government secretary to make the Public Safety Commissions active in the districts.

While referring to the decisions taken in a meeting of the Provincial Secretaries Committee on Dec 28, 2002, he directed the Planning and Development department to facilitate the local governments for the timely completion of the development projects including those of the Khushhal Pakistan Programme.

He directed the Home department to make Help-Line-15 and the Public Safety Commissions effective.

While responding to the applications by some district Nazimeen, he directed the police officials, including the district and town officers, to devise a strategy for responding to the problems of the people on telephone. He suggested to involve the elected representatives of the concerned area in this programme.—PPI
