KARACHI, Oct 12: Pakistan missed the mango export target of 150,000 tons due to logistic problems and only 115,000 tons were shipped to various countries.

All Pakistan Fruits and Vegetables Importers Exporters Merchants Association Chairman Waheed Ahmed said mango exports fetched $39m this season as against the target of over $50m.

He said 90pc shipments were made by sea while the country’s mango production remained short by 35 per cent.

He said exporters failed to send 30,000 tons of mango to Iran which caused a loss of $10 million.
