LAHORE: The two powerhouses in styling and fashion design, Khawar Riaz and Adnan Pardesy, respectively, came together to produce the trends show on the fourth and final day of the PFDC L’Oreal Paris Bridal Week 2012.

It resulted in a strong showing which saw the models in various stages of sola singhar as their male counterparts assisted them in their mock efforts.

The designer chose a colour palette that included black and yellow on black with Pukhtoon-inspired silver gota embellishments with the models’ braided hair bearing ornaments for a very becoming look.

Next up was Fahad Hussayn who showed figurine prints with worked blouses. Fouzia in a full-on red bridal, menswear featuring dori work on kurtas in basant colours, an off-shoulder short, baggy gold brocade shirt worn over lehriya pink and orange pants with gold gota embellishment on the painchaas, a gold on ivory shirt with a shamiyana print hemline stood out prominently in this collection. The shamiyana print collection won hands down in particular.

Quratulain Baloch singing Jogiyan came on stage to perform just before the models sashayed on the ramp for the final bow.

Following a 30-minute break, Saai showed her essentially bridal collection that was fetching in various aspects of cuts, colours and embellishments followed by Nida Azwer’s becoming bridals.

A further half hour break led to the most-awaited show of the evening featuring the spectacular bridals of the House of HSY, who is also the official PFDC spokesperson.

The show production and choreography on all the four days was by HSY, front stage management by Maheen Kardar Ali, backstage management by Asim Naeem, Hum TV/Style 360 were the official media partners and PR by Lotus.
