KARACHI: National Bank (NBP) moved level on points with Pakistan Premier Football League (PPFL) leaders Karachi Electric Supply Company (KESC) with a 2-1 victory over PMC Athletico on Saturday.

Midfielders Wasem Qadir and Farooq Shah scored at the PMC Football Ground in Faisalabad to take NBP to 22 points and they now trail KESC only on goal-difference but have played two games more.

Elsewhere, Ansar Abbas’ 24th minute strike gave Army a 1-0 victory over Navy at the Army Stadium in Rawalpindi to take his side to 12 points.

At the Railways Football Stadium in Lahore, goals from Asif Mansoor and Mohammad Yaqoob gave HBL their first victory of the season as they overcame Wapda 2-1.
