KARACHI, Oct 6: A judicial magistrate remanded on Saturday seven alleged militants in police custody till Oct 16 in cases pertaining to attempted murder, police encounter and possession of illicit weapons and explosives. Mohammad Babar alias Dorki, Fahimul Haq alias Bihari, Mohammad Tahir alias Mota, Abid alias Abbasi, Mohammad Arif, Inayatullah alias Maya and Rafiq alias Inam  said to be associated with the banned Lashkar-i-Jhangvi, were produced before a judicial magistrate (west) for remand. They were booked in a number of cases under the Pakistan Penal Code, the Explosive Substance Act and the Arms Ordinance.—Staff Reporter
