KARACHI: Protest against delayed compensation

KARACHI, Dec 30: The affected people of the Lyari Expressway on Monday staged a demonstration in front of the local press club to protest against delay in the payment of their dues and against a proposed change in the design of the project.

The protesters, carrying banners and placards alleged that the bureaucracy was creating hurdles in the payment. Sindh parliamentary leader of the MMA Maulana Omer Sadiq visited the demonstration and assured the protesters that they would help solve their problems.—APP
