KARACHI: The PeaceNiche Public Art Project, an expansion of the Jumma Hafta Art Bazaar is being held at T2F Karachi from September 28, 2012 — September 30, 2012.

The event aims to serve as a platform for emerging artists to interact with art admirers, students and art collectors to exhibit their work in a lively, accessible community setting.

The art bazaar features works of 13 artists using diverse mediums and is open to the general public free of cost.

The concept behind the initiative is to essentially break barriers between the socio economic classes and allow collaborative measures to occur by sharing ideas and hosting live art displays, spoken word performances and interactive activities.

A photography display using shutters on shops as projection screens will take place later in the evening as a public outlet to build bridges influencing peace and collaboration.

A small interactive workshop is also organised alongside to keep the children busy.
