KARACHI, Sept 28: Seasoned first-class cricketer Saeed bin Nasir produced a good all-round performance to steer Dawood Sports into the final of the NBP-KCCA Zone-II Inter-club cricket tournament here on Thursday.

Saeed hit up 54 off 41 balls wit the aid of seven boundaries and a brace of sixes as Dawood Sports made 247-6 in their 45 overs against Mansoora CC at the TMC Ground. Jahangir Shah also batted well to score an 82-ball 50 that included four hits to the fence.

Mansoora CC, in reply, were bowled out for 238 in the final over to hand their opponents a narrow nine-run victory.

Fahim Ahmed (65 off 82 balls, four fours and one six) and Shoaib Khaliq (65 off 74, nine boundaries) were the joint top-scorers for the losing side.

Off-spinner Shiraz Ali claimed four for 44, while Saeed chipped in with 2-37 with his occasional off-spinners.
