SUKKUR, Sept 21: Four children, including two brothers, of a family drowned in a small canal, Qazi Wah, near Jahanpur Sharif village in Mirpur Mathelo in Ghotki on Friday.

The four boys — 10-year-old Muzammil, six-year-old Zamir (both brothers), son of Abdul Hakeem Malhan, and their two cousins, 11-year-old Abid, son of Shafi Mohammad Malhan, and eight-year-old Abdul Rasheed, son of Moula Bux Malhan — decided to go for a swim in the canal in hot weather conditions.

While playing at the bank the boys overbalanced and fell  into the canal and drowned. Local villagers fished out their bodies after over two hours.
