RAWALPINDI: A schoolboy drowned in a nullah while returning home from his school during rain on Monday.

Raja Haroon, 8, slipped into the nullah in Khatana village at Adiala Road. The victim was a student of class-II in a government school.

“Haroon’s grandfather was on way to pick the child but his school administration released the students before the schedule time,” said Mohammad Zubair, a relative of the child, while talking to Dawn.

He said Haroon’s grandfather received the information about the drowning of his grandson on way to his school. —A Reporter
