LAHORE, Sept 14: The University of Engineering and Technology is holding a combined entrance test for admission to engineering institutions in Punjab for undergraduate classes and BSc Technology programmes at UET Lahore and its affiliated colleges on Sunday (tomorrow).

About 41,000 candidates are expected to appear for the BSc engineering entrance test, which will be held simultaneously at UET Lahore; UET Taxila; College of Engineering at Bahauddin Zakariya University, Multan; College of Engineering at Islamia University, Bahawalpur; NFC Institute of Engineering and Fertilizer Research, Faisalabad; University of Gujrat; Siddeeq Public School 6th Road, Satellite Town, Rawalpindi; NED University of Engineering and Technology, Karachi; Government College of Rasul; Dr AQ Khan Institute of Technology, Mianwali; University of Engineering and Technology, Peshawar, Provincial Headquarter Balochistan Boy Scouts Association, Quetta, UET Lahore’s Kala Shah Kaku Campus.

While some 5,500 candidates are expected to appear for the BSc Technology programmes at UET, Lahore, and affiliated colleges. The BSc Technology test will be held at the University of Engineering and Technology, Lahore; Government College of Technology, Bahawalpur; Government College of Technology, Faisalabad; Government College of Technology, Rasul; and Dr AQ Khan Institute of Technology, Mianwali.

A UET spokesman said special measures were being adopted to ensure secrecy and transparency of the tests and peaceful environment.

The results of the tests would be declared on Sept 20 at midnight which would be available at web link http://admission.uet.edu.pk. However, the key for self-marking will be uploaded on the website on the midnight of the test date.
