ISLAMABAD: The Interior Ministry has issued a warning to provincial governments of possible attacks on US consulates in Karachi and Peshawar, DawnNews reported.

According to a letter issued by the Interior Ministry, there is a high risk of possible attacks on US consulates over anger regarding an anti-Islam film, which has led to protests around the world.

The letter also said the homes of US consulate staff members may also be targeted. It further stated that suicide bombings and remote control devices could also be used in a possible attack.
