RAWALPINDI, Sept 13: As many as 69 illegal Pakistani immigrants deported from Greece arrived at Benazir Bhutto International Airport on two separate flights on Thursday, immigration officials said.

The first flight of Qatar Airways (QR-398) with 28 Pakistanis arrived at the airport from Doha.

The deportees were taken into custody by the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA)’s immigration staff and after recording their statements they were handed over to the passport cell for further proceeding.

A Turkish Airways flight (TK-710) also came with 41 Pakistani deportees from Istanbul.

A senior official of the FIA’s immigration said the Pakistanis had been caught while illegally entering Greece via Turkey and Iran. —Staff Reporter
