Chris Stevens, the American ambassador to Libya and three embassy staff were killed in an attack on the Benghazi consulate that was stormed by gunmen blaming America for a film they said insulted the Prophet Mohammad. On Wednesday Libyan demonstrators gathered to condemn the deaths of the American embassy members.
The film made by an Israeli-American has been widely criticized in Egypt and Libya where hundreds of people gathered in protest.
A statement issued by Pakistan’s foreign ministry said that the film would provoke hatred and hurt the people of Pakistan.

Well actions has a reaction. They know the severity of the reaction still they intentionally, deliberately did so. It is a case of provokation and no court of law in whole world can give the secondary perpetrators maximum or capital penalty.

While the US has to answer for many wrong things ,why should the film be associated with Americans in general.Yes the producer etc should be taken up but these demonstations only bring a bad name to Islam .I hope the sub continent is saved from such violent demonstarions ( especially aganist the US)

Hitesh,
As i understand from his statement, it is not us to punish and/or kill anyone for their allegedly wrong actions. The creator will punish them in the hearafter. I am a muslim too and most muslims tend to have this opinion that we are not judges and we should not resort to voilence come what may.... a human life is more important than the non-sensical trailer which should not bother anyone. Taliban are not the ideal reference to guage muslims or islam. Look at the Suliman the magnificient, he treated non-muslims with utmost care and protection under his rule. They enjoyed more previliges than the muslims in his reign. But media always wants some sensational results and avoids the best in Islam. There are bad apples in every society... muslims are no exception. But we should condemn people who incite hatred against any religion... for instance they did this to one religion today, they could do to others like hinduism. Hindu Gods also had multiple partners they will start talking about Lord Ram or Lord Krishna like that next time and guess what will be reaction of Hindu Zealots like RSS and Shiv Sena.
Thank u

Therein lies the problem! Instead of condemning the savage behavoir of the attackers who killed an ambassador, you are asking why Jews and fanatic Christians are insulting the Prophet. People throughout history have insulted Islam and the Prophet, but these things do not do any harm to religion, they just hurt the entiments of people who are too emotional to begin with. BTW, muslims have throughout history have commuited blasphemy against people of other faiths too. Take for example Ahmediya religion. What about various idols and temples of Hindus destroyed by muslim conquerors?

No!. We CANNOT kill ANYONE who insults the Holy Prophet SAW. In his own lifetime, there are multiple instances he was abused, insulted, denigrated, tortured and never in his life ever lifted a finger against them nor returned their wicked treatments in revenge of any kind. That exemplary treatment of his enemies was what won their hearts in the end. Yes there were battles, but these were started by the enemies and the sole purpose was to defend their way of life.

Try and understand whats behind the scene.....the movie is just a tool to facilitate removal of those played vital role in Libya operation and at the same time to put their battle ships in place for next phase.

A silly movie and the motive was not to make money but to get strong reaction from Muslims. I believe Muslims have to use common sense approach and not react with violence but use wisdom. The words in Quran are forever and Allah has taken responsibility for protecting Quran. We should not worry about what other people say about our religion but to live our religion to the T and people will follow. Burst of anger will not take us any where and I really don't see any lesson learned from violence against US consulates it ageist teaching of Islam. Foreigners including staff of Embassies of other nations are our guest and they must be protected and if they do anything against our countries they should be give a safe passage to leave the country. What happen is Libya is totally unIslamic and you don't need a scholar to understand this very basic Islamic teaching. .

Not unlike the Imam who planted burned pages of the Quran on a feeble minded girl and roused up the population - where is the indignation towards the Imam - after all he is an Imam and he did set fire to the Quran .... but this fact seems to have been forgotten ... " a well planned move supported by...whom exactly " and where is your outrage ??

This is a well planned move supported by coptic church in USA and the media cannot find the phoney character who made this movie, the guy do not exist, people need to have practise patience, these are testing times, do not give other a reason to quote "see we told you so, muslims can never be peaceful"

There was a cold blooded murder of 4 innocent people in the embassy in the name of Islam and the prophet , if muslims are really honest about what they call their prophet , they should have demonstrated against the killings of innocent people , not a trailer film , that is so obscure that you couldnt even find it before today
