ISLAMABAD, Sept 12: Former inspector general of motorway police, Waseem Kausar, has been appointed adviser to National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Chairman Admiral (retd) Fasih Bokhari.
NAB spokesman Zafar Iqbal told Dawn on Wednesday that Mr Kausar, who was experienced in crime prevention and investigation, would assist the NAB chief on investigation matters.
Mr Kausar, who retired from police a few months ago, earlier served as the IG of railway police and chairman of the National Counter-Terrorism Authority.
The induction of Mr Kausar came 10 days after Dr Ayesha Siddiqa resigned as adviser to the NAB chairman on white collar crimes prevention and awareness.
