RAWALPINDI, Sept 12: Two brothers were shot dead in their house, police said on Wednesday.

Arshad Khan, the elder brother of the victims, said in his statement that all of his five brothers were in the old auto part business and lived in Shahlay valley. He said on Tuesday night, he went to a nearby clinic to get medicine for his nephew. When he returned he found his two brothers, Adam Khan and Nadir Khan, having been shot by some unidentified person.

He said his younger brother, Adam Khan, died on the spot while Nadir was first shifted to Military Hospital and then to District Headquarters Hospital where he died on Wednesday night. According to the complainant, neither he nor his brothers had any enmity. Police ruled out possibility of robbery as nothing was found stolen from the house.

Meanwhile, a man was shot and injured after he tried to overpower robbers on Wednesday.

Kamran Khan said in his complaint that he was heading home with his wife, who is a teacher, from Waqarun Nisa College when they were intercepted by two robbers near Rahimabad railway bridge. —Staff Reporter
