KARACHI, Nov 22: A division bench of Sindh High Court on Thursday granted bail to one Haq Nawaz, allegedly involved in a double murder case.

The bench, comprising Justice Ghulam Rabbani and Justice S Ali Aslam Jaffery, passed such an order on the ground of statutory delay in proceeding of his trial.

The applicant moved the SHC as the additional district and sessions judge Shikarpur had dismissed his bail plea.

According to prosecution, complainant Maula Bux lodged FIR with Garhi Yasin police station that on April 19, 1998, four armed men, including Haq Nawaz, entered in his house and opened indiscriminate fire causing injuries to complainant his father Badaruddin and uncle Fateh Muhammad. Later, complainant’s father and uncle succumbed to their wounds on way to hospital. The motive behind the attack was an old enmity between both parties.
