Christmas celebrated

LAHORE, Dec 26: The Christian community here celebrated Christmas with religious fervour and enthusiasm on Wednesday.

The celebrations started with mid-night Mass on Tuesday at scores of churches in the city. The main services were led on Wednesday by Bishop Lawrence Sardanah at the Sacred Heart Cathedral and Dr Alexander John Malik at The Mall Cathedral.

Special prayers were offered for the prosperity and progress of Pakistan and peace in the world.

After attending the services, the members of the Christians community attended melas held on the premises of churches. They also visited parks and other recreational places.
