RAWALPINDI: The Lahore High Court's Rawalpindi division bench hearing the ephedrine quota case on Monday rejected the bail pleas of federal textile minister Makhdoom Shahabuddin and MNA Ali Musa Gillani, the son of former prime minister Yousuf Raza Gilani, DawnNews reported.

Earlier on Wednesday, the LHC's division bench, comprising Justice Khawaja Imtiaz Ahmed and Justice Ibadur Rehman Lodhi, after hearing the arguments of the counsels of Makhdoom Shahab, Musa Gilani and Anti Narcotics Force (ANF) had reserved its judgment on the bail pleas.

The court announced its decision today and rejected the bail applications of both the accused.

Control of Narcotics Substance (CNS) court of Rawalpindi had issued warrants against Shahabuddin, Musa Gilani and one other person.

Both accused had submitted interim bail applications in the court.
