Three cops dismissed

ATTOCK, Sept 1:  The district Police officer (DPO) Mohammad Hilal Khan has sacked four constables for being absent from their duties since long.

The district police headquarters said here on Saturday Mohammad Hassan Khan, Mazhar Abbass, Khan Riaz and Altfat Masood were dismissed as they did not respond positively to repeated warnings and notices issued to them.—Correspondent

House looted

GUJAR KHAN, Sept 1: The robbers looted 35 tolas of gold and other valuables after subjecting the inmates of a house to torture in the village Bhakpur on Friday night.

According to Ameer Kabil, a gang of armed men barged into his house night and held the family members at gun point and subjected them to torture. Later on they tied them and looted 35 tolas of gold ornaments valuing Rs2 million and precious clothes and mobile phones. — Correspondent
