SHIKARPUR, Dec 24: Four Tarat Jatoi tribesmen were killed in an ambush and another was seriously injured by 20 Mehar tribesmen on the Naka Garhi Yasin Road, near the Shama petrol pump, Shikarpur, on Tuesday.

The Tarat Jatoi tribesmen were sitting at a shop when the Mehar tribesmen, who came in four vehicles, opened fire with Kalashnikovs killing them on the spot.

Those killed were identified as Abdul Sattar, 45; Dhani Bux, 35; Ghulam Rasool, 30; and Karam Khan, 25.

The injured tribesman, Maula Bux, was admitted to the Civil Hospital Shikarpur.

Meanwhile, the victims families blocked the road and demanded of the police to arrest all culprits involved.

The situation was soon brought under control by the district police.
