LAHORE, Aug 19: Defence-A police registered a case against a retired army officer and his some 15 accomplices for allegedly breaking into a house, thrashing a man and a woman and stealing valuables.

According to the FIR (791/12) lodged under Sections 452 and 506 of the PPC, complainant Muhammad Arshad, a Pakistani born UK national, stated that he married his son Jamshaid with Asima, daughter of Brig Ilyas (retired) of Cavalry Ground, Cantonment, in 2012, but their marriage could not last for more than a few months due to frequent quarrels.

Arshad alleged that Ilyas had forcibly entered his CC Block in DHA Phase 4 residence on Jan 27, 2012, thrashed his driver Nawaz’s wife Bushra and electrician Shahbaz, stole valuables and escaped after hurling life threats.The police registered a case after the inquiry conducted by the Cantonment SP (Operations) on the direction of the DIG (Operations).

The complainant further alleged that Ilyas nominated him in a fake robbery case which was discharged by police.

He alleged that the suspect had also fraudulently grabbed Rs2.9 million from him.
