ISLAMABAD, Aug 19: All main rivers, including Indus, Jhelum, Chenab, Ravi and Sutlej, were flowing normal, the Federal Flood Commission (FFC) said on Sunday.
The levels at Tarbela and Mangla dams were recorded at 1,439.68 feet and 1,169.05, respectively – 60.32 and 72.95 feet below their maximum conservation levels of 1,550 feet and 1,242.
The combined storage position of Tarbela, Chashma and Mangla reservoirs on Sunday was 6.312 million acre feet as compared to last year’s 10.592 MAF. The weather system is being closely monitored by the Pakistan Meteorological Department.—APP
