Muslims around the world are preparing to celebrate the Eid al-Fitr holiday, which marks the end of the fasting month of Ramadan. Muslims will celebrate Eid depending on the sighting of the new moon for Shawwal, the month that falls after Ramadan on the lunar Islamic calendar.
