KARACHI: On the request of Commissioner Karachi Roshan Ali Shaikh, the Sindh government has imposed Section 144 on shifting and transportation of animals from Karachi to Balochistan.

Due to the rising trend in the price of the meat in Karachi, the commissioner had requested the government to take steps for ending smuggling of the livestock and shifting of animals from Karachi to Balochistan.

Recently, Kamran Qureshi, president of Meat Merchant Association had called on the commissioner and said that if the smuggling was not stopped it would be very difficult to keep the meat rates in control.
