PESHAWAR: Two volunteers of an anti-Taliban militia and one militant were killed during a skirmish in the Khyber tribal region’s Bara tehsil, DawnNews reported.

Government sources said the clash between members of the militia and militants took place in Bara’s Akakhel area.

In a separate incident that took place in Khyber’s Jamrud tehsil, two people were wounded in an IED blast.

The blast that occurred in Jamrud’s Takhta Baig area also damaged an oncoming truck.

The injured were shifted to the Khyber Teaching Hospital, Peshawar for treatment. They were reportedly out of danger.

Moreover, in the Orakzai tribal region’s Ferozkhel area, explosives loaded on a donkey cart exploded. However, no loss of life was reported in the incident.

The casualty figures from the reported incidents could not be independently verified.
