RAWALPINDI, Aug 7: A man ended up in a hospital bed with serious injury he suffered at the hands of his enraged wife for waking her up early in the morning to prepare Sehri on Tuesday. Nasir Abbas 26, a resident of Bakra Mandi suffered severe head injury after being beaten by his wife who apparently was not willing to get up for the ‘noble task’.

It all happened when Nasir tried to wake his wife up for preparing Sehri. Rubbing her eyes, the accused went into the kitchen and took out a big cooking spoon to later hammer it on her husband’s head in revenge for disturbing her sleep. The man started bleeding profusely and subsequently the emergency services had to be informed.

On seeing him in critical condition, the victim was immediately shifted to DHQ hospital by the rescue team where he was stated to be out of danger.
