KARACHI: Eight cars, 16 bikes hijacked

KARACHI, Dec 20: Twenty-four vehicles — eight cars and 16 motorcycles — were either hijacked or stolen in the city on Friday, police said.

Three cars were hijacked. Five others were stolen.

Seven motorcycles were hijacked. Nine others were stolen.

ROBBERIES: Two robberies were committed in the city on Friday, police said.

Two armed men robbed a young man of his mobile phone in Gulistan-i-Jauhar late Thursday night.

Police said that Mohammed Ali was coming in his car from a fuel station, when two armed men, riding on a motorcycle, held him at gunpoint and robbed him of his mobile phone and cash.

Bandits barged into the house of Ghulam Fareed in Gulshan-i-Iqbal and got away with cash and valuables.
