This was stated here on Wednesday by DCO Iqbal Ahmad Raja while presiding over a meeting to review Ramazan arrangements.

The meeting was told that 94,080 bags would be sold in Faisalabad city, 9,400 in Samundri, 8,272 in Tandlianwala, 1,353 in Jaranwala, 5,292 in Chak Jhumra, 4,284 in Khurrianwala, 4,032 in Dijkot and 4,536 in Mamukanjan.

In addition to it, 6,760 bags would be sold in 10 big towns of the district, including Theekriwala, Painsra, Makkuana, Satiana, Buchiana, Rodala Road, Lundianwala, Kanjwani, Garh and Murdiwala.

The subsidized flour would be sold in the second and fourth weeks of Ramazan. It would be sold in the areas identified by union council Nazims under the supervision of revenue department, tehsil municipal administration and food department staff. Names and addresses of purchasers would be noted down in registers. Unlike last year, the condition of identity cards would not apply. However, only one bag would be sold to one person.

The DCO asked tehsil municipal offices to prepare a list of proposed sale points in consultation with union council Nazim and hand it over to the food department so that it could coordinate with the nearest flour mills to ensure supply of flour.

All tehsil municipal officers, the food department deputy director, the district coordination officer and staff concerned attended the meeting.
