ISLAMABAD: Appreciating Interior Minister Rehman Malik for a comprehensive briefing on Balochistan issue, Leader of the opposition in Senate Ishaq Dar said that action plan and time line should also be given in-camera briefing to resolve the issue.

Speaking in the House, the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader said that “we all are well aware about the problems and issues in Balochistan and the minister had also briefed us in the past.”

“However, we expect that the interior minister would give an action plan to cope with the situation in Balochistan,” he said.

Dar said that Balochistan was dear to all Pakistanis as other parts of the country, adding that every party would provide full support to the Baloch people.

Kalsoon Parveen also congratulated Interior Minister Malik for a detail briefing and said more jobs should be given to the Baloch youth besides extending education and health facilities in the provinces. She said that they have submitted their development programmes, however, not a single penny was released for these projects.

She said that Afghan nationals were buying properties in Balochistan and the interior minister should also look into the matter.

Sardar Fateh Muhammad said that ban outfits were creating law and order situation in the province and the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leadership has made sincere efforts to remove sense of deprivation of the Baloch people.

He also lauded role of the oppostion leader for highlighting Balochistan issue on the floor of the House. He said development funds should also be given to the senators like MNAs.
