Phutti worth Rs50m lost in fire

NAUSHAHRO FEROZE, Nov 21: Phutti worth Rs50 million was reduced to ashes when fire broke out at Syed Cotton Factory in Kandiaro on Wednesday.

Fire broke out in the factory, owned by Kandiaro Union Council Nazim Syed Sarfaraz Ali Shah, due to short circuit and Phutti worth about Rs50 million lying there was reduced to ashes.

Fire brigade from Sukkur reached the spot but Sarfaraz Shah said that it had reached three hours late.

The factory was insured with three companies.
